Pier Gonella 667

667 is the second album of the Italian heavy metal guitar player Pier Gonella. It contains 9 instrumental tracks, except for "Make it Rock" which features some choral vocals. The album was recorded by Pier Gonella himself, who also took care of the mixing and mastering. The line up includes Peso (Necrodeath) on drums and Giulio Belzer on bass. The intention was the same as the previous album "Strategy", which was to create an album of songs rather than a self-celebratory guitar album. The genre varies from rock to hard rock, again inspired in particular by Joe Satriani, as Gonella himself declared: "There are very few instrumental tracks that have traveled the world and are known by a non-expert audience, and Joe remains untouchable in my opinion." The album is instrumental, except for the track "Make it Rock" which features some choral vocals. The first single extracted from the album is "Margarita", released on March 2023.
